Our Story

Talyst’s purpose is to improve patient safety in all care environments. The company was founded in 2002 to provide easy-to-use, automated medication management systems to acute care hospital pharmacies. The following year, Talyst launched AutoPharm®, the innovative software platform designed to integrate medication storage, inventory, ordering, barcoding, and clinical systems.

Established in 2009, Talyst’s long-term care division is a leader in automated medication management, enhanced workflow efficiencies and improved patient safety for long-term care facilities and correctional institutions.

The long-term care division is backed by the Talyst Certified InSite Pharmacies (TCIP) Network, a collection independent LTC pharmacies who distinguish themselves via operating principles, in-facility automation, and other technologies to exceed value expectations.

As of 2016, Talyst has installed automated solutions in more than 500 long-term care facilities, acute-care hospitals, healthcare systems and correctional institutions.
